In just a few years, Westbank has grown a portfolio spanning residential townhomes, apartment communities, and commercial showroom and warehouse assets with projects active from Garland and Mansfield to Farmers Branch.

Gerald D. Sappington

Leadership & Vision
Gerald D. Sappington serves as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Westbank Realty, a private boutique real estate development company established in 2022. With more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, Gerald has led the structuring, financing, acquisition, development, and management of projects across a diverse range of real estate asset classes.
Gerald earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in accounting with an emphasis in Taxation from Oklahoma State University and obtained his CPA certification during graduate school. Following graduation, he joined Ernst & Young, where he specialized in real estate taxation while advising nationally recognized real estate clients.
Throughout his career, Gerald has guided financial strategy, capital formation, acquisitions, and development operations while contributing to more than $1 billion in real estate transactions. His experience spans retail, mixed-use, multifamily, and residential projects across Texas and California.
Today, Gerald leads Westbank Realty with a focus on identifying opportunities and delivering thoughtfully planned projects that create long-term value for investors, partners, and the communities they serve.
